I do not understand the task of 'z-nails'. Whether looking for two convex area or not. Does a rubber band can draw on a nail that is not within the rubber band. Few modified first example:

Whether the result of 1.00 or 0.00? You first take one rubber and put it on point 1. Then you go around points 2,3,4 and 5 and finish in 6. Now you have points 1 and 6 in first rubber, so for that rubber area is 0. And the second rubber you put on point 2, through 3 and 4 and finish in 5. This area is also 0. Am I right?
First rubber touches all points but it only contains points 1 and 6. No where in task says that this isn't allowed. Please help...
